Gate Furniture:
- Included FREE of charge: 2 x Adjustable hinges (and hinge pins), stainless steel handle and lock providing ultimate protection for your home. 1 x drop bolts. As standard, the position of the hinge pin will be 6″ (150mm) from top and bottom of the gate. If you require these at a different measurement (for example, pins already set in pillars), please call to order.
Finish:
- As standard, the framework will be finished in black
- Anthracite grey or white (additional extra in price)
- We can also supply the frame in any RAL colour if needed
Posts:
- Due to the weight of these gates, we only recommend “below ground” posts for support, or to install to existing pillars (as long as the pillar is structurally sound).
How to calculate
Calculating gate width with existing pillars or posts in place.
Take THREE measurements between the pillars/posts. Across the top, middle and the bottom. Make a note of the SMALLEST measurement.
To determine what clearance is needed to calculate gate width, you must decide how the gate will open. The first example is by far the most popular set up.
FIGURE 1: (most popular set up)
Gates to open towards the driveway. Hinge plates mounted to the rear face of the post/pillar. Back edge of the gate sits flush with the back edge of the post/ pillar.
REDUCE 50mm (2″) from your lowest measurement.
FIGURE 2:
Driveway gates can open inwards towards the driveway or out towards the road. Please note, if swinging out towards the road, the gate cannot cross a public footpath/highway. Hinge plates mounted to the inside face of the post/pillar. Front edge of the gate sits flush with the front edge of the post/pillar.
REDUCE 150mm (6″) from your lowest measurement.
Any general builder or joiner will be able to install these, but we can help over the phone with installation/advise if needed.
We would advise 1 day installation time with 2 people (recommendation only).
We do offer an installation service, please contact us for prices if you require this.
Lead time
Please check our current delivery lead times pre order, as all items are made to order.
Some sections are very heavy, so lifting equipment maybe/will be required.
These are made and machined from start to finish by ourselves, and we take great pride in doing so.
Buying direct from the sawmill/ manufacturers, means you can make great savings.
